About the location: This facility is a Plastic Injection Molding facility, responsible for the Plastic Injection Molded Tail lights for the multiple OEM Programs. It’s a 400,000sqft facility with over 1300 employees in a non-union environment on 3 shifts.

Qualifications:

We need someone who is an experienced Maintenance Tech in this order:

  1. Troubleshooter of plastic injection molding machinery
  2. Electrical Controls/Control Wiring/PLC
  3. Hydraulics
  4. Pneumatics
  5. Robots

We are not looking for someone to program PLC’s, but able to wire them up and de-bug them, keep them up and running.

Robotic Weld Technician- Off Shift

Master Data Solutions- Analysis Bill Of Materials (Supply Chain)

Novi, MI

A Master Data Solutions Analyst is responsible for Analyzing data (HPLM, drawings) generated by Engineering (PD, Manufacturing) to catch errors & prevent any impact to downstream systems / users. Also provide engineering change control, analysis & release service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage Part Master, BOM & Engineering Change Control.
  • Perform Engineering Change - CN (Change Notice), TC (Temporary Change) & CE (Change Execution) MDS specialist roles in HPLM.
  • Create / maintain BOMs & related data in ERP system (QAD, SAP) in line with the Engineering system (HPLM) to ensure accuracy of all changes.
  • Coordinate data set-up through HPLM workflow process (Functional Roles), set-up BOM’s in ERP system (QAD, SAP) & time in changes based on plant timing request.
  • Global interface with cross-organizational teams (Program Management, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Plant MP&L, Finance & Purchasing).
  • Support all Current Model and New Model Launches.
  • Training - Lead & provide all “Power User” training for HPLM / SMM to multiple ATC users groups (Product Design, Manufacturing, CAD, Plant MP&L, Purchasing, & Finance).
  • BOM Accuracy (ERP), CN Audit (HPLM), Process Compliance (HPLM & ERP).
  • Manage weekly ATC Engineering Change Meetings with Hanon Plants through Business Intelligence reporting to communicate & drive change from design (HPLM) to execution (ERP).

Experience Desired

Extrusion Process Technician

Warren, MI

Job Description: Manages the extrusion processes & preparation activities necessary to launch assigned new jobs and existing parts at rate and 100% quality. Also, has lead engineering responsibility for providing support to production needs related to extrusion such as resolving process problems and improving safety, quality, and productivity on assigned programs and processes.

DUTIES & ELEMENTS:

  • Responsible for the processes related to cast extrusion at RVP. (Extrusion, Lamination, Winding, Grinding, Resin Conveyance).
  • Assists with the set-up or running of new jobs or plant engineering trials as required.
  • Performs tool modification or maintenance as required.
  • Responsible for major expenses and wear item inventory related to extrusion.
  • Inspect, track and analyze extrusion screws and barrels.
  • Assists with process development effort to develop optimal cell layout, work instructions, process flow layout, and set-up procedures, while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity protocols.
  • Coordinates internal engineering trials for PPAP’s, PSA’s, Run at Rates, etc.
  • Assists with launches through development and engineering of new or changed products.
  • Accomplishes the above tasks through compliance with the plant’s Advanced Planning Quality Procedures (APQP).

Continuous Improvement:

  • Develops documentation as described in IATF16949 manuals as plant responsibilities.
  • Identifies and resolves process improvements by exceeding budgeted cycle times, reducing budgeted spoilage, improving process capability, increasing throughput, and improved set-ups.
  • Develops and employs troubleshooting guidelines and best practices.
  • Provides training for all new and existing process and manufacturing systems.
  • Assists production floor as process expert by utilizing troubleshooting, diagnosis, debugging, and other technical skills to keep production lines running at peak efficiency.
  • Performs cause analysis, and corrective action implementation on assigned customer complaints or internal failures.
  • Meets with customers and vendors when necessary.
  • Performs job safety analysis as required and implementation of assigned corrective actions.

  • Applies lean engineering tools with value stream mapping, SMED, Standardize work method, etc. to improve assigned process.

  • Designs parts and systems in a manner which reflects the forming processes and capabilities of the manufacturing and assembly tooling.
  • Has expert command and knowledge of CATIA software system needed to perform design duties.
  • Interprets and follows design direction with minimal additional direction needed to complete task. Capable of developing multiple concepts in a short duration with little experience.
  • Able to create conceptual class "A" surface from scans, point clouds, surfaces, master sections. Understands and applies customer's given standards and procedures within the part or assembly design. Performs multiple advanced modeling projects correctly and efficiently in order to contain all program timing.
  • Practices proper modeling techniques which allows part/assembly to be easily modified during later engineering changes. Able to create 2D drawings that are completed with enough data to ensure that the part could be manufactured, quoted, or gauged for functionality.
  • Effectively uses and interprets simulation applications during modeling and design. Understands and applies welding technologies and practices within design.
  • Understands and applies stamping die principles and limitations. Understands and applies hydrform die principles and limitations. Understands and applies casting and machining principles and limitations.
  • Understands and applies geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) to component and systems designs. Solid understanding of automotive structure (part placement, usage, and performance).

Sr. Product Engineer Chassis, BIW Or Closures

Responsible for the design, development and release of automotive components and/ or systems. Plans and designs structural products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of structural products and systems.
